Papers may be submitted up to 23 January for the “African Futures” European Conference on African Studies to be held 31 May – 3 June 2023 Cologne, Germany.
As Europe and the U.S. increase their recognition of African agendas for Africa’s future, February 2022 saw the Sixth European Union – African Union Summit: A Joint Vision for 2030 announce an Africa-Europe Investment Package of at least EUR 150 billion to support investment, health, and education in concert with the African Union Agenda 2063. Likewise in December 2022 the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit saw the United States recognize African priorities identified in the African Union Agenda 2063 and call for African representation in the United Nations Security Council, and African Union permanent membership in the G20.
